I Freschi

Lunariae

Piemonte D.O.C. Chardonnay

Type: Still White

Grape variety: Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc

The centuries-old cultivation of Chardonnay in the Monferrato region came to life in the late 1700s, with French domination and the favorable introduction of grape varieties from beyond the Alps. Heir to an unbroken tradition, this luminous white is dedicated to Lunaria Annua, a plant with silver fruits used by alchemists and herbalists. Savory, fresh and aromatic, it boasts a small touch of Sauvignon Blanc to give length and complexity.
